The Neuroscience Society of Nepal (NSN), in collaboration with the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), is set to host the much-anticipated Neuroscience School Nepal 2025 from August 1 to 6 in Lalitpur. This year’s theme, “Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Reproductive Health,” signals a bold step toward understanding the foundational links between early brain development and maternal-fetal health.
This year’s program explores how genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors during reproduction influence neurodevelopmental outcomes such as autism, intellectual disability, and other cognitive disorders. The sessions will dive deep into neuroscience, reproductive health, and pediatrics, building bridges between disciplines often viewed separately.
Attendees can expect expert-led lectures, panel discussions, and case-based presentations that span molecular neuroscience, fetal therapy, and maternal health policy. The goal is to create a space where young professionals can question, collaborate, and innovate.
True to its mission, NSN 2025 is more than a conference—it’s a training ground. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops that equip them with essential techniques in diagnosis, intervention, and research. From neuroimaging to fetal assessments, the school emphasizes practical learning that can be directly applied in clinical or academic settings.
This is especially crucial for countries like Nepal and its neighbors, where early detection and intervention for neurodevelopmental disorders can face systemic challenges.
Neuroscience School Nepal has quickly earned a reputation as a regional hub for neuroscience education. Since its inception, it has helped ignite a wave of enthusiasm among Nepal’s youth and healthcare professionals, many of whom now lead research initiatives in neurology, mental health, and genetic science.
The 2025 school will be followed by the NSN 6th Annual Meeting (August 6–7), offering a platform to share national updates, research outcomes, and future directions for neuroscience in the region.
Even if you're not attending this year, NSN welcomes students, educators, and professionals to stay connected. Follow updates, access resources, and explore future opportunities through the official websites:
