IBRO-ADVANCED SCHOOL “Psychophysiology of neurological disorders: genomics and non-genomics perception”

Welcome to the Advanced School on Psychophysiology in Neuroscience!

Discover the intricacies of neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders through cutting-edge genomic and non-genomic approaches at our immersive two-week educational program. This initiative aims to connect Nepali and other Asia-Pacific students with distinguished scientists, providing mentorship to enhance understanding in the realm of psychophysiology.

About the School:

Delve into the world of Psychophysiology in Neuroscience, exploring techniques capturing physiological signals crucial for comprehending the functional status of the mind and nervous system.

Non-Genomic Tools:

  1. rTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation):
    • Learn from esteemed neuroscientists across Asia about rTMS applications in diagnostics and therapeutics.
    • Gain insights into the limitations and benefits of rTMS.
  1. EEG/Video EEG (Electroencephalography):

    • Gain a profound understanding of applications and contributions to psychophysiology.
  2. Polysomnography (PSG):

    • Explore the diagnostic significance of PSG in sleep medicine and mental health.
  3. Psycho-Neuro-Biofeedback:

    • Discover real-time EEG feedback in this innovative approach to neurotherapy.

Genomic Tools:

  • Hands-on experience in state-of-the-art Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
  • Practical understanding of the genomic bases of neural functions and developmental neuro-related disorders.

Other Activities:

  • Engage in discussions, roundtables, and career development topics.
  • Explore diverse career paths and research funding opportunities.

Who Can Apply?

  • PhD students, Postdoctoral fellows, Medical Doctors (MDs), Medical graduates and postgraduates, Junior faculty.
